Seven-seat Freelander on the way
According to AutoExpress, Land Rover is working on a seven-seat version of the Freelander 2 that will join the egular five-seat variant in around 18 months’ time. The new Freelander will compete with Peugeot 4007 and Chevrolet Captiva.
Land Rover denied that such a car is on the work, but Auto Express says " that changes to the 4x4’s cabin are likely to see a pair of occasional chairs introduced in the boot."
The current Freelander is offered in nine different versions powered by a choice of just two engines: a 2.2-litre diesel and a 3.2-litre six-cylinder petrol.
