Sony Computer Entertainment is developing a remote controlled car that uses a PSP portable gaming device as the vehicle’s controller. The unit will be made up of a camera mounted on top of the r/c car that transmits the image back to the screen of the PSP that creates a racetrack out of the real world obstacles surrounding the miniature racer. Very clever Sony!

Well, even if its possible, I don’t think a lot of people would be buying this product. I mean who would want to take their cars out for a spin using a gadget? It’s dangerous at most point but useful sometimes like when teaching someone to drive or something. Who would want a remote for their cars, it would take away the thrill of driving.

Well no pun intended for Sony but it sounds like a James Bond movie gadget. It’s interesting, but I would still rather choose to hold the steering wheel that the joystick console. But I consider this one as brilliant innovation. I think this will work best for people who are physically challenged.

At E3, Sony announces that the PSP2 will not be a video game or multimedia device at all, but rather will exclusively be used to control a little toy car. Would it be like a spy-car? Sounds interesting rather than clever after all.
