It looks like Lexus ->ke47 is preparing very serious about taking on its German competitors head on. Over the past few weeks, we've brought you some spy shots of the 2015 RC F, and now it's time for the GS F to show us what it's got. The model will be offered as a direct response to the 2014 BMW M5.

The best part is that the prototype->ke146 caught testing today is wearing no camouflage, revealing the sports sedan in all of its glory. As you can see, the model features the trademark Lexus F elements, like the more aggressive body kit and the signature quad-tip exhaust exits.

As for the engine, rumors point to the GS F->ke439 getting an upgraded version of the 5.0-liter V-8 from the IS F, developing around 450 horsepower. Along with the powerful engine, the GS F will also receive a torque-vectoring differential on the rear, high-performance brakes and a sport-tuned suspension to handle the twist with ease.

Expect the new Lexus GS F to arrive early in 2014.

Spy shots

The prototype that our spy photographers caught testing today is completely free of the swirly camo, revealing pretty much every element of the GS F. As you can see, the front fascia on this prototype is fairly close to what we see on the GS F-sport, but it features larger air intakes on either corner of the bumper.

Also, the lower fascia has some new aerodynamic features we don't see on the F-sport model.

For the rear, the GS F gains a diffuser panel between the exhaust outlets, a lip spoiler on the trunk and a sports exhaust system with quad-tip pipes.

The model rides on multi-spoke wheels, wrapped in some very low-profile, high-performance tires.

Additionally, the GS F prototype has had its badges stripped off.
