Now that the new Land Rover Evoque->ke3666 has situated itself on the market, Land Rover is moving forward by updating the other models in its line-up. The next vehicle to see some action if the Range Rover, for both standard and Sport variants. The last time we caught the Range Rover, it was busy with some hot weather testing, but the calendar has turned and Landrover is now allowing the SUV to play in the snow. The best part is that our spy photographers were able to get close enough to snag a couple pics of the Range Rover's new interior.

The new Landrover Range Rover will be built on a modified version of the Jaguar XJ aluminum platform and is rumored to lose about 990 lbs from its total weight. This will be possible thanks to the intense use of composite materials for the body. The engine line-up will be inherited from the current generation, but Land Rover->ke46 will focus on improving the engines' fuel economy.

As for the interior of the new Range Rover, it will take on characteristics from the luxurious Evoque, as seen in these images. The exterior will also take on some Evoque features, but unfortunately the heavy camouflage still prevents us from going into details on those changes.

Expect to see the new Range Rover launched by the end of 2012.
