I bet that last sentence just brightened up your day, didn’t it?
Covered in camo and blasting around the Green Hell, it appears that the NSX — branded as an Acura in the U.S. — with hit showrooms looking almost exactly as it did when it was first unveiled a few years ago. We expect the car to roll into dealers sometime in the summer of 2015 with a turbocharged, V-6 engine and one of the most advanced all-wheel-drive systems in the world. Considering that V-6 is supposed to make more than 400 horsepower, we might finally have a car with the potential to dethrone the incredible Nissan GT-R .
Now that we have production cars hitting the ‘Ring, there should be a LOT more info coming soon. Keep your eyes here on TopSpeed.com for all the news as we get it.

Why It Matters
Honda has been talking about bringing back the NSX name for what feels like an eternity. Sadly, it seemed that every time it would confirm its decision to build a new one, we get news a few months later that the project had once again been shelved for reasons that ranged from fuel mileage concerns, to world economy problems. Now that we have production versions of the car doing laps around the Nurburgring , the chance that this car will not see the light of day are basically zero.
Best of all, the car looks just as amazing as the concepts that have been flaunted around the auto show circuit. We still have no confirmation of exact horsepower or drivetrain specs, but rest assured that this car will be one of the fastest cars in the world when it finally goes on sale next year. Expect to see a final production version debut when the auto show season starts back up in the fall of 2014.
