Spy Shots: Jaguar XFR-S Shows Off its Big Rear Wing

Jaguar XFR-S

It’s been a while since we last saw the Jaguar XFR-S testing around the Nurburgring, but it seems that all that waiting was worth it. The sports car has now been spotted while lapping the famous ’Ring, but this time, it’s wearing a massive rear wing at the back. We’re wondering if this is Jaguar’s idea of being discreet or if they just wanted to enjoy a race-track experience.

As you can see, the XFR-S is still camouflaged, meaning that the parts that are covered up are where the biggest changes will appear. The front spoiler will get its own design which won’t look anything like the XF-R or even the XKR-S , but something more in line with the style of the BMW M5 . The side sills are also beefier and, together with the wider track and wheels, will give the XFR-S a more powerful look. The rear diffuser is also more prominent than on the XFR and the trunk now has this big rear wing with an integrated third brake light.

Under the hood, we will see the same engine as in the XKR-S: a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that will deliver a total of 550 HP.

the m5 is very...german. this car has some british style, elegance. you will go fast, but you will do it like a Sir!

this car may be a good contender for the m5. 4 doors, 550 hp, 5 liter v8. all good things are there!

i’ve seen bigger wings. that one kind of fits in with the whole look of the car.

i think that jaguar makes a point towards the sportines of the car with that wing. they are determined!

if that wing is an extra, i’d not have it. even if i’d have to pay to get it off, i would!

that wing may make a big difference in down force, but in terms of looks it’s not so great.

i do not think that that wing looks good on that jag. it kind of spoils the jag style and its design lines. it’s like a rolls royce with a scooped bonnet: stupid.

will those covered elements make such a big difference?

i do not think they were trying to be discrete. they were just testing the car. after all, that’s what matters, right?

5 liter v8 and 550 HP sounds good. being a jaguar, it will sound even better!
