Last time we caught the 2015 Porsche Macan, Porsche was testing around the Nurburgring race track. This time around, Porsche tested it in a more natural habitat: on the streets of Germany. The model that our spy photographers caught this time appears to be the standard version, not the Turbo one they caught last time.

The upcoming Macan ->ke2674 will be a smaller alternative to the very successful Cayenne->ke212. Additionally, much of the Macan's design language and technological features will be shared with its big brother.

What will be slightly different is the engine lineup, as Porsche ->ke1 will focus on making the Macan efficient rather than powerful and fast. This means it will be offered with a four-cylinder engine with 220 horsepower for the base, while the Turbo version will get a twin-turbo 3.0-liter, V-6 rated at 370 horsepower.

Rumors suggest that the new Porsche Macan will be unveiled in November at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show->ke211.

Spy shots

Being offered as sort of a baby-Cayenne, the upcoming Porsche Macan will share lots of its design language with the larger SUV. Though it's still wearing camouflage, we can see that the Macan will get the signature Porsche headlights and air intakes to ensure proper cooling for the engines hiding under the hood.

In the recent spy shots of the Cayenne, we saw new, thinner taillights shining through a set of stickers on the rear, and it looks like this will also trickle down to the Macan.
