Stillen presents finalists for Scion FR-S design contest

Last month, US tuner Stillen launched a contest that let fans be in charge of designing a Scion FR-S coupe. The winner would have his design built by Stillen in addition to winning a two-night stay in Las Vegas for this year’s SEMA Show. His very own design would also be exhibited at the SEMA floor. So with a month to prepare and design their own versions of the FR-S, over 100 designers took up Stillen’s offer and put their designing hats to good use, all while using only a number of Stillen’s templates.

In the end, the US tuner picked five of its favorite designs, including two from Greg Thompson and one each from Paul Kim, Mohamad Irfendy, and Michael Caneda. From here, the power turns to the public where they get the chance to pick their favorite designs.

Voting is already underway so if you like one of these designs more than the others, let your clicks matter.

I’m too excited for the winner on this FR-S design contest.

If they chooses the finalist, I hope they deserve that. And the winner should give his best like its the last.

Those designs from the students is impressive, knowing that they are still students.

If they are pure students, what more they could give on their design for the future cars.

Oh, I don’t like the gold paint on the grille on its front fascia. They should choose any color that will match well on the red exterior.

Who will win the best design in this contest? The design of Mohamad Irfendy is the most luscious for me.

They are much the same. None of the competitors made different colors and egde concepts.

Wow, is Scion is the first to have this contest, or it was made a few years ago?

They have a good set of the finalist for that design contest. All the designs are cool and unique.
