The Nardo Ring->ke3904 is a high-speed test track located located at about 12 miles away from the Italian city of Nardo. The track measures 7.8 miles long and is divided in four different lanes, with neutral speed ranging from 62 mph in lane 1 to 149 mph in lane 4. The term "neutral speed" means that the driver can drive the car without turning the wheel.

This is a reason why this ring is the perfect place where you can go and travel with no problems at speeds above 300 km/h (186 mph). The folks over at Auto Bild recently invited a group of cars capable of hitting this speed in a test drive it named "Beyond 300 km/h." One of the cars invited was a BMW M6 Gran Coupe tuned by AC Schnitzer.

The M6 proved it was worthy of the invite, as it managed to hit a top speed of 328,9 km/h (204 mph). With this speed, the M6 Gran Coupe by AC Schnitzer becomes the fastest road legal BMW to lap Nardo.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe by AC Schnitzer

AC Schintzer announced its tuning kit for the entire BMW M6 lineup earlier this year, when a series of upgrades were announced for both the exterior and the interior, but more importantly for the 4.4-liter, V-8 engine. After the updates made by the tuner the V-8 engine can now deliver a total of 620 horsepower and 582 pound-feet of torque — up from the stock 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.

Back then, AC Schintzer announced a top speed of 189 mph - but apparently the car can do much better, as it proved today.

As usual the tuner is offering its clients the possibility to choose between a wide range of wheels, and different upgrades for the exterior and interior look.
