The Volkswagen Group seems to be cashing in on the image of its premium brands. In September, Bentley came out with a line of luggage and computers, and now Bugatti is selling is name out to those who can’t afford the ultra-exclusive Veyron.
The range goes from a 2009 Veyron Calendar that can be yours for €90 (about $112 at current rates), to a €2,800 fragrance (about $3,500). Although the perfume may cost as much as a down-payment on a regular car, the "Prestige Edition" comes in 3D sculpture (Bugatti says its inspired by the wings of the Bugatti Atalante model — neato.) The container is coated with 24-carat gold and limited to 400 examples.
So if there’s a car lover on your Christmas list who’s severely bummed because the stock market has ruined his/her chances at a Veyron this year, take a look at Bugatti Collection. It might just have something overpriced with an "EB" logo on it that can provide some comfort.
