BMW->ke178 will unveil the new M6 GranCoupe online next month and the world debut will be made in January 2013 at the Detroit Motor Show. Just recently, the M56 GranCoupe was fully exposed during an event at Nurburgring. Fortunately for us, some savvy folks had the chance to shot some images of the M6 GranCoupe and shared them with the rest of the world.

The next M6 GranCoupe will be powered by the same engine as the standard M6->ke208 models, which is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine with an output of 553 horsepower and a peak torque of 501 foot-pounds delivered between 1,750 and 5,750 rpm. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) that will send the power to the rear wheels.

When compared to the standard 6-Series GranCoupe, the M6 version will get a more aggressive front and rear fascias with the usual M-type elements, larger wheels, and a quad-exhaust system.
