This is what the future Peugeot 208 will look like?

Although not set for to debut until 2012, rumors about the future Peugeot are starting to circulate more and more throughout the automotive press. Set to compete with smaller models like Ford’s Fiesta, the future 208 will be a replacement for the current 207. The rumored design is believed to be inspired by both the RC Hybrid concept and the newly launched 3008 SUV .

The centerpiece of the front end, the large mouthed grill and swept back headlights are a direct inspiration from the 3008. However, where the SUV is rounded and more docile, the 208 is bolder and much more aggressive.

It reminds me of the smart for two car. Only more masculine, more sturdy looking car. But it has completely lost its Peugeot. I think they should reconsider the reactions of this posts here. Because any car enthusiast will feel the same way. Pity.

I don’t know how to put it, but maybe should rather ask, is this the future of Peugeot? If this is based on the RC hybrid concept then this mid sized car’s power engine is surely promising.

At least this 208 will surely be one of those cars that will give a hot competition deal along with its targeted market segment.

Peugeot 208. Well, the French knew thier car well the only thing that we have to see them it comes out on sale is if this will really provide competition with similar car segment.

One track ahead. It is said that this will be a production car that will be based exactly from the concept car with a very minimal alteration such as the inspiration it borrowed with 3800.

Peugeot is on the track with its hybrid technology being offered along with this midsized car. So it is really a fight for hybrid, low emission and non internal combustion -based engine. automakers are all running towards this market and it is not a surprise.

This is the future 208. And this is based on the concept car Peugeot RC. Well the concept car was somehow impressive overall. Now this one as it gets its inspiration with 3008 looks a little awkward. But it targeted competitor must be ready.

Well being electric will make this car on the list of green cars for this year. This is a trend among automakers toward developing and offering performance electric or hybrid electric sports cars. While every driver on the road would love the fuel economy of a Toyota Prius, many drivers will not settle for 10 second 0-60 times.

I think I commented on this one before and I will repeat it, I am not that impressed with the rear front of this car for whatever reason that the French designers have to make it look like a robot nosed dog.
