BMW->ke178 has already confirmed their plans of adding another model to their X-Series line-up. The new X4 will join the current X3->ke255, X5->ke326, and X6->ke2396 models, and it should be unveiled by the end of 2012. The X4 will be built on the same platform as the X3 and will be produced at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.

The new X4 will feature BMW's latest design language, including a slightly forward-slanting kidney grille and LED accent lights positioned like eyebrows above the striking twin headlights.

Built on the same platform as the X3, the upcoming X4 will be offered with the same engines as the X3, but with power improvements - the most powerful version will deliver up to 306 HP. An M version will be powered by a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine with 350 HP.
