Last week, we brought out the very first spy shots of the upcoming Lexus IS-F Convertible, and today we’re taking the next step by providing a clearer look at the next sports convertible with our very own rendering.
When compared to the prototype shown in the spy shots, our rendering has been stripped of the large rear wing simply because that element will only be used for testing purposes and won’t make it to the production model. The rest of the design elements for the open top IS-F were inspired by the sedan version, including the new front bumper, quad exhaust pipes set up, wider wheel arches, and wheels.
In terms of power, Lexus will utilize the same engine found in the sedan: a 5.0 liter V8 engine that will deliver at least 416 HP.
The new Lexus IS-F Convertible will be unveiled in 2013 as a competitor for the upcoming BMW M4 Convertible.
