TopSpeed Rendering: 2013 Lotus Evora

1.

Lotus’ decision to halt plans for the Elan because it looked too much like the Evora model is kind of funny considering the Evora will be undergoing some aesthetic changes for its next generation as part of the "Lotus New Era" outline. All told, the Evora is scheduled to receive no less than 150 changes compared to the current model so we figured it would be appropriate to take a stab at what it would look like.

Expected to debut sometime in 2013, the Lotus Evora is getting a makeover to boost the aggressive factor and make it a viable competitor for Ferrari models. Lotus’ ex-Ferrari design boss, Donato Coco thinks the current Evora’s front end is "too weak" adding, “Even many economy cars look more aggressive.” The new design will hearken back to the Lotus 18 single-seater seen at the beginning of the 1960s.

Lotus was struggling with slow sales of the current Evora and although there was a boost when the Evora S debuted, the company needed to act fast to keep the momentum going. Their "Lotus New Era" outline, as well as plans to build their own V6 and V8 engines, will hopefully keep things going int he right direction.

It looks awesome, but I found it very similar with a Lamborghini vehicle. Anyway, I hope that this future vehicle of them is not on an electric motor.

Evora really has the aggressive look and design. I’m still looking forward for other update news of this Evora before I could give further comments for this car, but I must say that this one is really impressive.c

To be honest, I’m so tired to see cars like this. Sure, it really had an aggressive look which everyone can’t resist but I hope that they should give it also an impressive and remarkable figure performance.

I’ve researched to learn Lotus’ other special features aside from its being one of the top selling car from the past. I hope its comeback will receive a positive reviews from the critics.

That is such a promising news for those who would like to purchase Lotus Evora in the future. Having its remodeled and bringing in additional features will bring its comeback a big bang.

I would agree with you on that one. The redesign certainly added a lot of personality and aggressiveness to the Evora’s look. Too bad they weren’t able to do that with the Elan.

Dropping the Elan is actually one of the recent moves of Lotus that I really don’t understand. It would have been better if they had just reworked on the concept.

I think the upgrading of exterior and interior design is perfect for it give the Evora the extra roughness and aggressiveness looks.

Hmm, the rendering does look good, but they already said that this one would actually still receive a lot of changes. I am now really excited to see what the new one would look like.
