TopSpeed Rendering: 2014 Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake

Now that we have seen both the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake and the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake , rumors have sprouted that the next CLA will also be offered in a Shooting Brake version . Just the other week, we brought out the first details on this upcoming model, and today we have a cool rendering that brings those facts to life!

Just like the sedan version, the next CLA Shooting Brake will be built on Mercedes ’ new Modular Front Architecture (MFA) platform and will take its design inspiration from the recently announced CLS Shooting Brake. Under the hood, we will see the same engine line-up as in the upcoming CLA sedan: a 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine offered with either 121 HP or 154 HP. Mercedes will also offer a CLA AMG Shooting Brake which will be powered by a a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that will deliver about 330 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque.

The upcoming Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake will arrive on the market a few months after the sedan version, so don’t expect it before 2014.

I thought they were on the process to produce the Shooting Brake SLS first. What happened to it that it will only be produced after the sedan?

It’s the sexiest hatch ever. I like it.

If you were delighted on this CLA shooting brake, you might feel more when the new Mercedes reveals their latest luxury wagon and vans.

I’ll take this wagon. I’m already impressed on its features.

Well, I think the manufacturer should see this one. Perhaps they could make a good concept from it.

CLS Shooting Brake will launch first than CLA right?

When it comes on Shooting Brake, we’re sure for its quality and excellent appearance.

CLA could be better than the Shooting Brake version. They have to do it as soon as possible.

There is a lot of attention on this station wagon, and besides the competition is tough. So why not launch the sedan with similar features?

It’s either of the two Shooting Brakes. It’s between the Station wagon and the Sedan segments, but for me, I like the station wagon.

What so good in Shooting Brake? Sorry its because I really don’t know.

Wow, it seems that Mercedes are in Shooting Brake Fever. All their models are in this edition. Will they have same features with different segment?

Did they mention that they are not launching this Shooting Brake?

The Detroit News reports insurance premiums have declined 5 years in a row. I can’t remember a cycle like this ever. Of course, not everybody has had a decline, mine actually went up high but found "Clearance Auto" that I could easily reduce it
