Toyota A-BAT Concept will go into production

Toyota unveiled the A-BAT Concept in January at the Detroit Auto Show. And shortly after it was rumored the concept will see production. Now it seems that the company is a step closer to producing the audaciously styled A-BAT concept pickup truck: "This is a common next step in evaluating cost parameters on promising concepts, but it does not imply a commitment to it yet," said a senior Toyota executive.

Supplier queries were sent for both a four-cylinder and hybrid-powered version of the truck, said Mike Levine.

Although the platform architecture is still unknown, the A-BAT would be car-based, rather than use a body-on-frame structure.

I think this one is awful. Maybe they should modify its design before putting this car into production. I would agree with Andress, its head lamps are too small for this vehicle.

Toyota really needs to think twice or maybe a hundred times if they were really put this one market production. Sorry but I must agree with them that this one really looks awful and ugly.

Sorry to say Toyota but it is not really a pretty concept neither nice. Anyway, it is only a concept, so you still have the time to enhance and change it.

Toyota needs to feel doubt in bringing this one on production. I’m sure it will hurt their feelings if no one even bother to look on this A-BAT. Sorry to say Toyota but you better enhance it first before deciding to sell this one.

Ugly indeed, it’s headlamps it too much high. Also like andress said, it looks like an old rav4 with a headlamp of accura.

well it has some similarities to the honda pilot, but i guess it is much better than the pilot.

ow that was an ugly looking car, it’s head lamps are not suitable because it’s to small for a truck plus it has a lot of space blow for a large head lamp. also it looks like the old model of rav 4’s nose tip and grille.
