Despite not being a household name, TVR->ke89 has – over the years – picked up quite a niche following and if there’s any truth to current rumors surrounding the Russian sports car maker, then TVR is finally set to make its debut on the world stage.

According to Pistonheads, TVR is getting ready to debut their new sports car with the Goodwood Festival of Speed being pegged as the event TVR is targeting for the launch of their brand new ride.

Details are still a little sketchy at this point, but we do know that the car is, for one, expected to be built in Germany. Two, it will bump out a price of around $120,000, making it a likely challenger to the more established Porsche 911->ke282s and Audi R8->ke1440s, and three, the new TVR sportscar is likely to have either a Ford->ke31 or GM->ke1024-sourced engine, most likely a V8 ’crate engine’, with a total output of 500 hp. This decision has been made in order to save millions in development and homologation costs.

As soon as new developments arise, we’ll be sure to update all of you.
