The late night talk show host has brought out yet another episode of Jay Leno’s Garage with yet another cool super car at his hands. This episode shows off the 2012 De Macross GT1 developed by a Canadian entrepreneur and inspired by the classic European Le Mans racers. Joining Leno is David Hops, the sales manager at De Macross, as he offers a few more details on the GT1.
The De Macross GT1 is powered by a 5.4 liter Roush Yates V8 engine that delivers a total of 800 HP and 700 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, up to a top speed of 235 mph.
