The latest episode of “Car and Driver: Abroad” put together two of the most impressive models offered by BMW in 2012, the M5 sports sedan and the M6 Coupe . The two are compared exterior, the interior and then, of course, taken to the race track and pushed to their limits.
The M5 is powered by a 4.4-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 560 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. The model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 190 mph. The same engine is also used for the M6 Coupe, but the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 4.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 155 mph, or 189 mph with M Performance Package activated.
