It is no surprise that Hennessey Performance was among the first tuners to upgrade the new Corvette Stingray. For the 2014 Stingray, the tuner offers four different levels of upgrades, with power ranging from 600 to 1,000 horsepower, and with prices going up to $67,950.

Today, we get to have a good look and listen to the smallest of the Hennessey upgrades, the HPE600. The model was driven by John Heinricy at the Lonestar Motorsports Park drag strip facility, which is adjacent to Hennessey Performance operations in Sealy, Texas.

And we gotta tell you that this video was fun enough just watching; we could only imagine getting behind the wheel of this nighty C7 Corvette. What a dream come true that would be!

The HPE600 upgrade includes a TVS2300 supercharger system and Hennessey’s in-house HPE Air Induction System. With these upgrades, the 6.2-liter, V-8 engine delivers a total of 600 horsepower -- up from the standard 455 horsepower. The HPE600 Corvette Stingray hits 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and sprints the quarter-mile in 11.3 seconds at a speed of 127 mph.
