Over the past six generations, the boys at GM have given the exterior design of the Corvette
Over the past six generations, the boys at GM have given the exterior design of the Corvette more preference over the interior design and build quality. This theory explains the bland interior and average build quality inside the Chevy Corvette.
With the C7 Chevrolet Corvette though, that’s about to change. At least that’s what GM’s latest teaser video alludes to.
Chevrolet has finally realized that just by focusing on the exterior and powertrain is not enough to take down its emerging European rivals. The interior will be a point of focus for the development of the 2014 `Vette, a department ignored by GM when rivals like Porsche and Audi invest greatly on it.
Chevrolet has displayed proof of its change in a new teaser video of the much anticipated C7 Corvette called "Craft".
This teaser shows us that one of the focal points of the next-gen `Vette is the usage of higher-quality leather upholstery, carbon-fiber accents, softer materials and contrast stitching. With this aspect, the owners will find touching the interior and buttons, something to look forward to.
With a promising exterior design, performance and, now a revamped interior, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette may have the chance to give its European competitors a run for their money. Who knows? It can obliterate them as well. Here’s to hoping...
