A standard Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is powered by a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 that delivers a total of 505 HP, which isn’t bad at all. Of course, supercharging this bad boy to an impressive 700 HP makes the American sports coupe jump a few levels to possibly match wits with Sweden’s Koenigsegg CCXR and its 1024 HP 4.7 L twin-supercharged V8 engine. Place these two cars side by side in a one mile drag race and more than likely, onlookers would place their bets on the CCXR. Before that happens, however, it’s important to know that typically the Koenigsegg does the 1/4 mile in less than 11 seconds and in this video, it only managed to do it in 12.4 seconds. 9 comments: Video: A Supercharged Chevrolet Corvette Z06 takes on a Koenigseg (...) Yeah, you are definitely right on that one. I must admit that I was really surprised at the results of this, since I thought that the Z06 was outmatched. But it was a rather pleasant surprise.
 This one is really quite a watch. I wonder what sort of matchup they will do next. Maybe if they do a Ferrari against an MX-5, it would also be an interesting challenge.
 This video just goes to show what you will be able to do if you have all that money to tweak the car. That Z06 is definitely a good example of the marvels of tuning.
 I agree with that. I don’t even see the true speed of Koenigseg CCXR. Even if the Corvette is supercharged, I think Koenigsig can still give a good race. But as I see it, as if the driver do not have the right skills to compete and use the Koenigsig.
 The driver of the CCXR clearly does not know what he is doing. First of all, the article is wrong in reporting that the CCXR normally runs the quarter mile in just under 11 seconds; that is the regular CCX, not the lighter and significantly more powerful CCXR. The CCXR does it in 9.6 seconds.
 Ha, that one is rather interesting. At first, I thought that the whole thing was a mismatch, considering that the CCXR is, well, a supercar. But I never thought that the Z06 would actually be able to pull it off.
 So this really means that the combination of Chevrolet and Corvette makes a stunning performances! And it seems that Corvette Z06 is faster in the straight line compare to the CCXR!216 kph in 12 seconds for the Corvette is quite impressive compare to 209 kph for CCXR. Well, it seems that the 1000 hp of the Koenigseg doesn’t have any match with the 700 hp of Chevrolet.
 Christian von Koenigsegg himself should take that guys CCXR from him for his lack of driving skills. Lol
