  news

Alfa Romeo unveiled a new official video of the Giulietta hatchback presenting the car’s interior. When it goes on sale in the spring of 2010, the Giulietta will be offered with a choice of two gas burning engines. The first is the 1.4TB producing 120 HP and the 1.4TB MultiAir cranks out a total of 170 HP. There will also be two alternatively fueled diesel engines: the 1.6 JTDM pumping out 105 HP and the 2.0 JTDM that produces 170 HP. Both engines belong to FIAT’s second generation JTDM, turbo diesel engines. The top of the line Giulietta will be the 1750 TBi that develops a maximum output of 235 HP and will come with Alfa’s racy Quadrifoglio Verde trim package.

This will be a tough, tough sell in the United States (poor rear seating to boot), but at least associate professors of creative writing down at the local college will have something to buy now that Saabs are no longer offered.

A front-wheel drive car with a corporate history of serious mechanical problems passing itself off as a higher-end driver’s automobile?

This car is based on the C-Evo platform which shares its pedal-box with the Bravo and nothing else. Anyhow, was the Delta Integrale not based on the Ritmo floorpan? As the GTV was based loosely on the Tipo. Both great drivers’ cars.

The 2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta will replace the Alfa Romeo 147 hatchback; however unlike the current 147 edition this edition will only be available as a five door. This Giuliette edition will compete against the likes of new Ford Focus and Volkswagen Volt.

I have seen its interior; its very stylish and the transmission is a dual-clutch automatic. You can check out the photos on its official website. There are rumors that they’re launching a five-door Giulietta.

It looks good. I think I prefer it in red though, not that it makes much difference to the interior

Yeah, you’re right! The guilietta’s pit is very teasing plus its accessories are very updated. I wish I could lay my hands on one of this lovely hatchback.

What a lovely pit! Most of its equipments are very sophisticated and unique. I guess the concept was from 8c.
