The film is famous, won several prizes if I’m not mistaken. Great performance!

The Finnish champion has a professional record of 10 rally wins! Who could dare beat that?

Vatanen has always been a media favorite personality. Aside from this short film that he starred in, he also released his autobiography even while he is still at the top of his career. My cousin has a copy and I have been scanning it for a while but never had the will to read it. But they said it was one of the most talked about autobiography novels at that time and eventually became a best seller. Now I’m really considering to read it!

I just thought that the Vatanen and Peugot had always been very cool together, most especially after winning the World Rally Championship in the mid 1980’s. Its really sad that they stopped participating in the said event. Since then, he has drove Mitsubishi and Subaru, one of the well-known cars in rally.

This video is not actually new. I’ve seen this before although I could not remember where. I did a little research and I found out that this video was produced after Vatanen, in partnership with Peugot, won in the Pikes Peak International Hillclub and after winning the World Rally Championship in 1986.

This is one of the coolest video ever. I never realized that Rally champion turned politician (not just any other politician but a member of the european parliament) can still be this good. Vatanen’s relationship with Peugot can be traced a long way back in the 1980’s when he signed to race under this car.
