Now that the America's stint in the World Cup was unceremoniously dispatched by Ghana, it doesn't look like all those promotional ads urging Team USA to perform well in the World Cup did anything for the team.

Nevertheless, the new Dodge Challenger 'Freedom' ad, which debuted before the US's opening stage match England, was one of our favorite auto commercials to come out in a while. So with no other team to root for, this behind-the-scenes look at the commercial is about as good as it gets for us.

Fortunately, the video is good enough consolation for us, especially after finding out that the three Challengers used in the commercial didn't have any doubles doing their stunts for them. It may not mean much in the bigger scheme of things, but knowing what the new Challenger is capable of - that is to say that it's not afraid to get its paint job dirty - shows us that this muscle-bound machine is more than capable of giving us something the US team never quite lived up to: a rollicking awesome car that can give us a thrill ride of a lifetime.
