Video: Bugatti Veyron Documentary

The Bugatti Veyron boasts titles such as the fastest production road car ever and the most expensive road car ever. Its 8.0 liter W16 engine is mated to a dual-clutch direct-shift gearbox computer-controlled automatic transmission with seven gear ratios. Its top speed is 253.8 mph. The car is impressive and, plainly said, if anyone denies that then they are just being difficult. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

And if anyone still has a hard time believing anything that we have said then you might want to take a look at some of the videos we have provided. National Geographic has revealed a very cool documentary about the Bugatti Veyron supercar. There are four different episodes, each representing different moments in the building of the car. In Episode 1, there is a short history of Bugatti, back story of the Veyron, and the making and testing of the W16 engine. In Episode 2, they explain how the transmission, brakes, and the wing are made, and Episode 3 presents the rest of the wing, the sub-assembly, fuel tank, tires, and the beginning of assembly. Episode 4 illustrates the rest of assembly, road testing at 253MPH, and an outro.

This is s good movie for those people who are still wondering why the bugatti veyron costs such price.

The Veyron is far from reliable... the VW Touareg is the least reliable automobile currently sold according to Consumer Reports, and the Veyron has not one but two Touareg-sourced V8s put together to form its W16. There’s a reason that the Veyron has to be flown back to France every 60,000 miles for a full service/rebuild; the car falls apart that fast. If you want a reliable supercar, go for the LFA or One-77.

So that’s why this car is the most expensive one, a combination of car and airplane. Also you can’t just use an ordinary sport tire to it, you need a very unique set and specially made for veyron.

Well, they really built it nice and now I understand why it is expensive. It’s one of the most amazing car ever built. I guess nothing else even comes close to it. Also, this car is built very reliable which is rare in the super car category.

A simple presentation for the sophisticated and rated as the fastest car in the world.

I don’t consider the Veyron to be the world’s fastest car. Yeah, it has the fastest top speed and 0-60 mph time... so what? Just because it goes fast in a straight line doesn’t mean it’s truly a fast car. The real "fastest car in the world" should be able to go fast through anything. The Vette ZR1, LFA, GT-R, Apollo, GT3... all these cars are faster than the Veyron when you take everything into consideration. Also, the "fastest car in the world" should be able to last. Sure, your Viper ACR can lap the Nurburgring in 7:23, but twenty years later, will you be comfortable still doing hit laps? As the somewhat hypocritical but admittedly quite effective Mercedes commercial says, performance is about the quarter century as well as the quarter mile. As far as I’m concerned, the LFA is the fastest car in the world.
