Video: Cadillac CTS-V vs Mercedes E63 AMG Estate

Station wagons are boring! We generally agree with this statement, but when we’re talking about a $64,340 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon and a $94,075 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Estate , boring shouldn’t be anywhere near the front of our minds. In fact, we’d take one of these killer grocery-toting family vehicles over our current SUV any day of the week!

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers a total of 556 hp and 551 lb.-ft. of torque. As a comparison, the E63 AMG Estate features a 6.2 Liter AMG V8 that delivers 525 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. Motor Trend took the two sports wagons and put them through an impressive test drive that includes a short trip to a drag strip. Which was the best of two? Find out by watching this 9 minute video. We can assure you that it will be worth it!

I know Mercedes can perform well in this race. Cadillac is good, but Mercedes totally rocks the track.

I like both performances. They’ve shown enough their endurances and greatness when it comes to driving.

It’s a fun video. It more of an action-pack adventure and GT-R NISMO did a very impressive performance.

There is no real competition here! The comparison of these is unlikely to be solved.

Isn’t it obvious? Mercedes has a more stylish innovation! Well, it’s undeniable that Cadillac’s is competitively powerful.

I have a bipolar opinion on this clip. I’m on either sides of these two vehicles for different reasons.

This is a win-win situation, since what it has shown were the capabilities of these two dynamic vehicles.

Don’t you think that this is unjust? These two are incomparable.

I’ve never been a Cadillac fan, and I didn’t like their car. I’m with Mercedes as I love its whole styling, and its smooth run.

I like Cadillac CTS-V’s built, but I love Mercedes EG3 AMG Estate’s performance more. Overall, the result for me is a tie since they have a different advantage in different terms.

Although I want to side on one vehicle, I can’t seem to choose; they both gave an impressive performance.

I won’t want to use these two to compete, but seeing this demonstration bewildered me. Although their built is big, I can’t deny the fact that they’re high-performing. Very impressive.

It’s actually the newer 5.5 liter biturbo in the E63 AMG. And this one in particular has the optional AMG Performance Package, upping power and torque to 550 hp and 590 lb-ft respectively.
