Video: Chevrolet Corvette crashes during AutoCross event

Autocross events are all about emphasizing safe competition and showing off one’s handling ability out on a defined course, so when you hear about someone crashing at one of these events, it’s kind of like hearing about an alligator that has started wandering the streets. It just doesn’t belong.

The alligator in this particular video is a Chevrolet Corvette that managed to get into some crashtastic trouble at the Speed Ventures Autocross. According to the witness, this accident occurred because of "a cold track combined with cold tires." We would argue that bad driving skills had a little to do with it, but we weren’t there to see what actually happened so we’ll have to take the witness’ word for it.
