Video: Corvette Racing ’Track to Street,’ Season 2 Episode 7

  news

In the latest episode - the seventh of the second season - of Corvette Racing’s ’Track To Street’ series, the company takes us behind the scenes to see just how the pit crew performs under pressure when they’re racing against the clock.

Much like the previous episode in which the Corvette Racing Team discussed the group of dedicated and tireless people that work behind-the-scenes, this video illustrates another facet of the behind the scenes action. In this video, we’ll see how each activity during the pit stop is performed in a matter of seconds. Things like swapping wheels and tires, cleaning the windshield, and refueling the endurance racer are executed in a way that facilitates the exit of the vehicle in a timely fashion. Needless to say, the success of a race car depends on how fast and how accurate these changes are made. One small mistake, and it could cost the racing team the victory. Guess the car isn’t the only thing that needs to be fast!

This is what you call, team work. Without the crew, the  car and the driver will be messed up during a race. Well, I definitely agree that it is not only the car must be fast but also the crews.

The scene in the pit stop is feels like watching a race. Everyone is in the hurry and they need to work as fast as they can to change the tyres, clean windshield and refueling the car. You can see on how they work as a team and I think they feel pressure as well for in one mistake it will ruined the chance of winning in the race.

This is really what I love about the Track to Street, they just don’t focus in the race and the car driver but in the people behind also that tirelessly working to make the whole thing in order. I wonder on how this man keeps their endurance. My heart just jumping while I see them working so fast!
