Video: Customize your own race track in Gran Turismo 5

We’re still not over the fact that Sony has decided to once again delay the release of Gran Turismo 5, but there’s nothing we can really do about it.

Given that rather unfortunate turn of events, this video may seem like a cruel way to make us even more impatient for the game’s release, but really, outside of praying for some divine intervention, we’re going to have to take this latest delay to the chin, move on, and wait for the holiday season.

So to make our wait more worthwhile – or painful, depending on who you ask – we’ll show you a teaser video of a new feature in the Gran Turismo franchise: How to customize your own race track.

We stayed away from using the word ‘build’ because, technically, you won’t be building a track straight out of your imagination. Instead, you’ll get a chance to customize a certain track and use whatever alternative routes it may have, configure it to your own liking, and choose other variables like weather and the time of race.

It may not be as fun as, say, building your own personal race track, but with the freedom to choose the layout of an existing track, it’s about as close as it can get to making your own.
