Back in May, McLaren and Forza Motorsport teamed up and announced a contest where fans "liked" the official Facebook competition app page, watch the launch video and guess the location of the starting grid in the trailer. The winner would be the first non-McLaren employee to ride in the new McLaren P1 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed->ke3879.

You can imagine that thousands of people entered the contest, but the winner ended up being Andrew Freeman and his winning story is rather ironic. He decided to enter the contest just last 10 minutes before the deadline for entries and two days later, McLaren contacted him to let him know that he was about to have the ride of his lifetime.

The McLaren P1 was driven by Chris Goodwin, McLaren's chief test driver, and it looks like Andrew Freeman had a lot of fun in the passenger's seat. We bet that just about anyone would have had a blast. It's not everyday you have the chance to be in a 900-horsepower supercar->ke177.
