Video: Gemballa Racing McLaren MP4-12C GT3 crashes at Nurburgring

A number of 25 McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will be racing during the 2012 season, two of them coming from Gemballa Racing : one for VLN and one for ADAC GT Masters. However, Gemballa’s debut wasn’t as impressive as the company might have expected, because their car signed up for the VLN series during this past week-end had a tragic end.

While the causes of the crash are still unknown a video taken after the crash reveal that the car is in a very bad situation. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but for sure we won’t see it racing any time soon.

For those of you who have forgotten, the GT3 features the same 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 as the standard model, a carbon fiber safety cell, a racing front-splitter, a large fixed rear wing and a rear diffuser that offers it better stability at high speeds.

I should demand compensation, if I were on the Gemballa Racing team.

Don’t you worry guys, it’s insured right?

Ouch. I dislike seeing mishaps especially when they’re caused by others.

Where’re the paramedics in the Nurburging? They must be the first one to arrive in case there’s an accident.

Everyone should be careful not only for themselves...

In accidents like this nobody expected it, but I think we have to assume all the possibilities regarding the racing and how dangerous it is.

The others should be careful too. In instances like this, they have disturbed a possible great performance.

Maybe next time, McLaren will be able to create a good record at Nurbugring with no mishaps. For now, this unit should be repaired.

Ouch. I feel utterly horrendous for that unit. It’s unfortunate that the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 has made a bad memory at Nurburgring.

At first, I had no idea what happened. Then, I felt anger for the other reasons on why it had crashed there. If it weren’t for that, we would be astonished by its dynamic performance.

It wasn’t even able to astound people with its amazing performance! I feel like its a waste of effort and excitement. I think the other party should take responsibility too.

Oh, I’ve heard of this the other day ago! I was truly horrified to see it crash. Fortunately, it wasn’t a grave accident! It’s such a shame that it couldn’t get to show off its impressive specifications!
