Video: Gran Turismo 5 trailer

  news

The trailer for the long awaited fifth installment of the Gran Turismo franchise has finally be released on the internet. GT5 will feature a total of 800 playable automobiles and 35 tracks to race them on. If you have played GT5 Prologue, you will know that Gran Turismo has finally acquired the licensing rights from Ferrari, and now features the Italian super carmaker’s vehicles in the game. The trailer also reveals that the game’s creators have also gotten licensing from a couple of new racing series like NASCAR and WRC. Another all new feature for GT5 is crash damage; it is debatable as to how this will affect the real driving simulator.

In very Gran Truismo fashion, the game’s creators Polyphony Digital, have yet to announce the release date for the full version of the much anticipated GT5 for the Sony PS3 game console, after all, the date can’t be delayed if there isn’t one. The video game developer will also be releasing a hand held version of the game for Sony’s new PSP portable gaming device sometime this Fall.
