Back in September, Pagani announced that the Huayra was officially road legal in the U.S. and that first deliveries will be made by mid-2013. While American customers still have a few more months to wait, Jay Leno was the first one to test the outrageous, jet-inspired Italian supercar.
What an absolutely amazing supercar the Huayra, which translates to “Wind,” is. It is powered by a V-12 engine with an output of 700 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. The Huyara launches from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and hits a top speed of 235 mph. In the U.S. market it will be priced at about $1.4 million.
Check out the above video to see Jay Leno take the Huayra for a spin. With as many supercars as he has driven in his lifetime, it is amazing to see his reaction after getting a shot at this Italian work of art.
