When Lamborghini->ke44 officially unveiled the LP700-4 Aventador, they were quick to point out that their new supercar could hit a top speed of 217 mph. Turns out, they weren't being facetious. German magazine, Sport Auto, tested the Lambo's capabilities during a hot lap at Hockenheim where the Aventador crushed its own top speed with a spectacular peak of 230 mph (370 km/h)!

The last few seconds of the video are obviously the most important because that's when the top speed is achieved, but before that we are given closeups of a few different parts of the vehicle, including that killer 6.5 L V12 engine, and a 0-270 km/h acceleration test.

Reminder: The Aventador is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with an AWD layout that produces 700 HP 8,250 rpm and 509 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm. It sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, while the ultimate top speed is still up in the air.
