Video: Lexus LF-A vs. IS-F

  news

Lexus UK took two of the company’s most powerful models, the LF-A supercar and the IS-F sports sedan and put them to race at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground track. Of course is needless to say who the winner was, but the video is a really amazing, especially the first part where it shows the LFA’s speedometer. It makes you feel like you are driving in a car game.

Of course you know Lexus will build only 500 LF-A supercars and the one featured in this video is the car number 16.

By the numbers: the LF-A is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 that delivers a maximum output of 560 HP at 9,000 RPM and a peak torque of 354 lb-ft at 6,800 RPM, and it can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds. On the other hand, the IS-F sports sedan gets a 5.0-liter V8 engine rated at 416 HP at 6,600 rpm and 371 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 5,200 rpm and can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Of course the LF-A has an enormous advantage, but watching the two cars together is a real show!

I don’t like the styling of sedan car except for this vehicle. And its kind of disappointing that they have produced a less power output for its v10 engine.

Wow! It seems that the car have an amazing speed performance. The styling is great as well. However, I was expecting for a higher output than its current figure. BTW, its a good thing that it offer a better fuel economy.

There is a current production for the LFA and I would say that I was impressed with the performance of this car. Comparing to this car and the newer version, you could actually see on how this model evolve and improve!

yeah, it would be more exciting to see a race between the LFA and GTR. I was looking forward on this race! However, its a good thing that they consider to use a more modern technology like the v10.

Well, this one would be quite good marketing plan on Lexus’ part. Imagine that, they were ab;e tp advertise not only one, but two brands in one shot. Really nice marketing move.

Indeed, Lexus really has gone a long way from being just one of those brands that Toyota handles. Now it has actually become one of the flagships for the company.

Well, the IS-F is not really built for racing, but It clearly shows that it will be able to perform well in that department. That’s another set of plus points for the car.

Just looking at the speed performance of these car its easy too identify on who will win the race. The figure of the LF-A is kind of impressive. So, there’s no reason to watch the video.

Well, Lexus would be one of the most successful brand among Toyota model so no wonder if they are going to held a showdown between its competitor.
