Nearly every car enthusiast knows that the Ford Mustang->ke428 was released on April 17th, 1964, but what if I told you that the first Mustang was actually sold on the 15th. Even more surprising is the fact that this was not special treatment given to some big celebrity at the time. That's right, folks, Gail Wise -- a 22-year-old school teacher at the time -- bought the first ever Mustang two days before its release.

She came across this $3,400, Skylight Blue Mustang when she went to a dealer to buy a convertible->ke144, but the dealer was fresh out of drop-top models, except the Mustang in question. When the dealer took her into a back room to see the `Stang, she borrowed enough money from her parents to buy it on the spot. The date: April 15th, 1964 -- two days before the pony car made its debut at the World's Fair.

The car ran into issues in 1979, and Gail's husband parked it in the garage until the early 2000s, despite his wife's pleas to sell the car.

I don't want to spoil the entire video for you, so I'll stop here and let you check it out for yourself. It is an inspiring and interesting story.
