The Pagani Zonda R’s Nurburgring lap time record caught a lot of people off-guard not because the supercar was incapable of scorching lap times, but more because it did it with relative ease, surpassing – okay, it was more like obliterating – the previous record held by Ferrari’s crown jewel, the 599XX. Some sides have even gone as far as to question the supposed record-breaking performance of the Zonda R because it’s lap time of 6:47 around the fabled Nurburgring was 11 seconds faster – an absolute eternity in flying lap times – than the 6:58 seconds set by the 599XX. Turns out, Pagani has a little something we call visual evidence to back up their claims. As you can very well see from this timed in-car video, the Pagani Zonda R blasts through the circuit in record-breaking fashion, giving little doubt on the new record’s validity. Let’s see somebody else top that now. .

albe_winston (1144) Posted on 09.21.2010 I wonder if it will be as tacky, ill-proportioned and over-styled as current Pagani? Probably.
mario_blackman (216) Posted on 08.1.2010 The Pagani has one of the best production car engine notes of all time, the highest quality and most meticulously put together interior — ever, and is truly one of the most exotic, exotic cars to ever put tires to tarmac.
Guss_MasPapy (462) Posted on 07.29.2010 These should be placed in an entirely different section, and ’fastest production car’ should remain for vehicles not only salable, but legal in some country.
