Video: Porsche 911 Carrera S vs Lotus Evora S

FifthGear went to the Assen TT circuit in the Netherlands and put together two of the most incredible sports cars to date - the Lotus Evora S and the Porsche Carrera S - for a little one on one action.

The Lotus Evora S is powered by a supercharged Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a total of 350 HP and more than 300 lb-ft of torque. This means a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and a top speed in excess of 172mph. On the other hand, the Porsche Carrera S is powered by a 3.8-liter power with an output of 385 HP and a top speed of 186 mph.

At first glance, the Carrera S seems to have a slight advantage, but who will stand up and fight against all odds? Watch the video to find out!

Agreed. I was impressed with the performance of the car though its speed is limited. The video has been removed so I need to find the race on YouTube!

Both car have an impressive speed performance though I like more the elegance in the styling of Porsche compare to Lotus. However, I would love to see removed speed limiter for these vehicles.

Good thing that Lotus decided to keep the Evora in their line. This video really proves how capable the car is and how worthy it is to be further developed.

Yeah, definitely cheers for the Evora S. let’s face it, we already know that the Carrera GT is one heck of a beast, but the Lotus car really did show that it can take on that one.

Well, it is really quite surprising that the Evora S would be performing as such here. I already knew that the car’s engine is rather powerful, but I really didn’t know that they will be able to push it more .

My bet really goes to the Porsche on this one. But the Evora S is also quite surprising in its performance. Definitely one heck of a car race.

Well now, this one is quite an interesting match-up. I am not really that surprised that the Carrera S and the Evora S are actually evenly matched, though it was still a good thing to see these two cars go head to head with each other.

Yeah, I have read the figure performance of the Porsche 911 and Evora. And honestly, I thought watching the video would be boring since Porsche has a higher top speed. Although, the interior and detailing of Evora is not as elegant as the 911 still I have to say that its engine is spectacular!

You could actually relate to the saying "Don’t judge the book by its cover" here. Initially, upon looking at the figure performance of these two cars, the Porsche 911 has a huge advantage over the Evora. Well, it seems that mid engine is quite powerful than a rear engine.
