Video: Porsche 911 GT3 RS vs Yamaha YZF R1 on ice

This may look like a strange competition, but it’s not the first time someone has chosen to pit a sports car against a sports bike. We have actually seen these types of races plenty of times before, but this race starts a very exquisite sports car: a Porsche 911 GT3 RS .

The idea came from French motorcycle publication, Moto Journal, who ran the Porsche up against a Yamaha R1 . The race is kind of unfair considering the GT3 RS can hit a top speed of 193 mph, whereas the YZF R1 can only top out at 160 mph, but the video is still entertaining enough to give a view. Who knows, there may even be some surprises to see.

This video looks cool knowing that a motorcycle is competing against the Porsche

With this, we can pretty much see how the motor aced the competition. The Porsche car is undeniably efficient too, nonetheless.

It was a win-win situation; I didn’t even think of it as a competition as I was too immersed on being awestruck by their performance from the beginning to the end.

There are a lot of factors here as to why the R1 is more efficient. Anyhow, I’m amazed with what I’ve seen!

This has not-so-subtly shown how dynamic these two can be. There is no real competition, only a pompous display of abilities.

They are both experienced drivers; they know to handle it. I like the performance of the motorbike better than the car.

I’m not surprised by their speed and capability to race smoothly on snow, but rather by their drifting! That’s kind of dangerous, so I’m amazed that they have performed it nicely!

I really enjoyed the video, and indeed, the R1 is much faster than the GT3. The spikes helped the R1 to gain speed.

Very entertaining indeed. I enjoyed seeing how the GT3 RS was drifting in the snow. Even though it couldn’t pass the R1 it did very well. I could be wrong with this one but the Evo looked like it didn’t have as much traction as it should’ve had for an AWD car.Did it look like that to anyone else or is it just me?

The R1 tops out at around 180 not 160

I like how the video concentrated on both performance, but it is much better if they have done that on the road. Still, it was a very entertaining video.
