Porsche has unveiled a new promotional video for the new 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S that will go on sale this May.
The commercial is a rather impressive marketing stint consisting of two Turbos resting somewhere near a beautiful mountain. The detail that should not go unnoticed is the two eagles soaring above the parked cars. At the end of a nice and easy ride around the edges of the mountain, the two Porsches park once again amidst a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountain. The eagles are gone, but the metaphorical replacements sit in their abundant beauty.
A commercial like this could only be matched up with the exquisite and sporting nature of the Porsche Turbo S. The Turbo comes with an increase of 30 HP, for a total of 530 HP. The speed upgrade is thanks to a six cylinder boxer boosted by a pair of turbochargers. The turbochargers are complete with Porsche’s variable turbine geometry that reduces lag and increases performance. As a result, the Turbo S will sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.3 seconds and go from 0 to 200 km/h (124 MPH) in only 10.8 seconds. Top speed is achieved at 195 MPH.
30 hp more they say, well IMO that number is a big difference between the previous one, but let’s do hope that the price of this baby is not more than they increased the number of horses.
