Last week at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show Nissan unveiled the most powerful GT-R ever: the new Nismo version . Today it’s time to learn how this car was developed thanks to a new video revealed by the company.
Along with explaining how the GT-R Nismo was developed, this video also includes testing scenes from Nurburgring, Sendai and France, with interviews and time-attack laps, which include a 7:08.679 run at the Ring.
For those of you who do not remember, the new GT-R Nismo is powered by an updated 3.8-liter, twin-boosted V-6 engine delivers a total of 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque - quite a boost over the standard 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet. Nissan said nothing about how the extra power will improve the GT-R’s performance figures, but we do know that the new Nismo is the fastest GT-R ever around the famous Nurburgring with a lap time of 7:08.
