We first brought to everyone’s attention that our favorite National Geographic show, “Megafactories,” was going to do a full-on documentary on Japan’s resident supercar, Godzilla itself, the Nissan GT-R.

It was a long wait, but now the episode has finally aired and we can now let out a gasp of excitement. “Megafactories” has always been a hot ticket on our TV-viewing schedules, in large part due to their penchant for featuring some of the hottest exotic cars on the planet.

The GT-R is no different and the show did a pretty nice job of taking its viewers on a behind-the-scenes look at how Godzilla is born. No, we’re not talking about some deep crevice in the earth where the giant fire-spewing monster lays her eggs. We’re talking about Nissan’s facility in Tochigi, Japan, the site where the GT-R is built, and perhaps, after watching this video, the site where we’re going to find ourselves at in the event we end up going to Japan.

Check out the video in its entirety. It’s over 40 minutes long, but rest assured, it’s 40 minutes well spent.
