Mercedes->ke187 AMG has unveiled a cool video presenting Bernd Mayländer, official Formula One Safety Car Driver, talking about his old and new Safety Cars. The video was shot in an old barn, as he explains technical details and tells of his personal experiences, starting from the 1999 CLK 55 AMG and to the current SLS AMG GT. From his list there are two big absences: the SL55 and the SL63.

The latest Safety Car is the 2013 SLS AMG GT F1 Safety Car. It is powered by the same V-8 engine found in the road-going version, which delivers a total of 591 horsepower. The safety car also receives a high-performance ceramic-composite brake system and weight-reducing AMG 10-spoke forged light-alloy wheels.

He also talks about the 2012 racing season, when, for the first time in history, a season finale was ended by a Safety Car.
