After nine seasons in Formula 1, Kimi Raikkonen will now take part in the 2010 World Racing Championship for the Citroën Junior Team. Raikkonen’s departure from Formula 1 was a shock to some due to the contract he had with Ferrari for the 2010 season. Many rumors flew around in regards to where Raikkonen was headed, but none seemed to pan out as McLaren, Mercedes, and Toyota all signed other drivers.
Red Bull Racing team boss, Christian Horner has downplayed rumors that Raikkonen will be riding with them in 2011, but for now he is racing in the WRC. The World Racing Championship consists of 13 three-day events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. Here’s how Kimi Raikkonen overcame this special stage and obtained his first points in the 2010 WRC Jordan Rally. Enjoy!
He had to make a statement a day later retracting the blame. If he thinks replacing the current championship leader with a guy who couldn’t even beat Felippe Massa (and is MUCH more expensive), maybe Red Bull should consider replacing him with a team adviser who has a clue.
Helmut Marko is a senile old git that has little concept of modern F1, or even reality, if his efforts to blame last weekend’s collision on Webber are any indication.
Teams would clear out room for Kimi. He has a huge following. He’s proven he can drive. He would bring in revenue and take points away from other drivers and constructors. He’d be welcome at nearly ANY team in F1.
If he was doing terrible or something, I could see him making the switch back to F1, but he’s running with the top guys, so I don’t see why he would want to go back after only one year. With a few more years of experience, I think he has a great shot at making it onto the podium.

That was cool and very courageous I’d say but I don’t think if he really belongs in the dirt. He’s not winning that much on the F1 track but he ain’t doing so bad. I think all he needs is a new team. I hope he comes back to F1 circuit and re-race with Michael and other good drivers.
