We don’t know what’s more impressive, the fact that the third-generation Volkswagen->ke94 Scirocco rolled out its 100,000th model – it’s a Scirocco R 2.0 TSI with a Rising Blue Metallic exterior with a Titan Black interior - in VW’s plant in Portugal or that it did so without selling the car in North America and still pulled it off the feat in a little under two years.

Either way, the achievement is amazing on all aspects, especially when you take into account the fact that before returning to the market in 2008, the Scirocco model was sitting on the shelves for the better part of 16 years; ever since it was discontinued way back in 1992.

Today, the Volkswagen Scirocco has once again become one of the brand’s most important vehicles and you don’t need to look any further than the building of the 100,000th model of the third-gen vehicle to prove that the Scirocco has once again become a hot commodity from people interested in purchasing a VW.
