The Volkswagen Golf GTI has become know as a hot hatch the world over, however it has taken the keen eye of a Hong Kong based tuners RevoZport to give the German hatchback a bit of flair from the Pacific’s Ring of Fire with flared fenders, LED driving lights and a few lightweight composite components. RevoZport is more attune to working their magic on more luxurious models from makes like BMW, Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari and even AMG. However it seems as if there was something about the little GTI that caught their attention and transformed the regular old turbocharged five door hatchback into a slippery super car like figure with a wider grin and raised eyebrows. The bodykit is made of Pultruded Fiber Reinforced Plastic (PFRP) as well as a few carbon fiber bits that include a fully reworked front bumper with matching strips of LED s and an aggressive looking adjustable front splitter. However the GTI RZR’s beauty runs more then just skin deep. Thanks to an ECU upgrade and a free flowing high performance exhaust system, the 2.0 Liter TFSI four cylinder now develops a total of 270 HP. Press release after the jump. Press release RevoZport is a renowned composite material product company based in Hong Kong and have office in Los Angeles and Singapore. For the past 5 years, the company has been focusing on producing carbon fiber parts for cars like BMW, Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari and AMG cars. “We have certainly overlooked the legendary Golf GTi market and it is time we also contribute to the market and offer our own unique styling for GTi-ers to choose from.” said Kenny Cheung, the director of international sales and marketing. The Golf VI GTi – RZR bodykit is produced by light weight composite material in Pultruded Fiber Reinforced Plastic (PFRP) and Carbon Fiber Composite (CF) for the strength and integrity. It is made with 100% vacuum formed infusion technology for precision, strength and weight savings. The kit is now available to order from various resellers and should hit the shop in February 2010.< 12 comments: Volkswagen Golf VI GTI RZR I saw the images and the first thing I thought, was still those hideously wheels, why don’t I see more people complaining about them.
Though its not that impressive, the car still look’s hot. Volkswagen makes it possible for the not so impressive to look so yummy to ride on.
Sorry but this one looks boring. Unattractive. I don’t care how dashing the car is. If its not Tommy Kiara no one will even bother to look at your car.
Volks you can’t maintain your car stats if you’ll keep producing such a disgusting model. Look at that one off taste.
Love the body kit. What I’m really looking forward to see with this model is a completely tuned up or customized version. And it would be great to see it racing side by side with cars like I don’t know, Mazda perhaps?
There is nothing in this car that is out of the ordinary. I’ve seen and hear all of this before. But still we can’t tell. Maybe when I get to drive this, as given for free by some people. I won’t lend a money for this one.
Maybe on some point, this car is a hot one to handle but my least favorite on the hatchback line. The Golf seems not my type of car but I know the performance of this car. The modification of this Golf VI FTI by RZR proved that this car can force a hatchback to produce more power by means of the ECU reprogramming.
The front bumper really looks great on the VW. I noticed that many tuning groups have taken noticed on the GTI.
