Volkswagen is offering a new engine for both Polo and Golf. The new 1.2l TSI is delivering a total of 103 hp and 175 Nm at 1,500 rpm. The engine is based on an aluminum crankcase and the completely re-tuned direct injection provides smooth power development, low consumption and low emissions. With this new engine, Volkswagen continues this intelligent downsizing and transfers new forward-looking TSI technology to even smaller displacements. The 77 kW / 105 PS strong engine is now available for the Polo, Golf and Golf Plus and rounds off the successful family of TSI engines. In order for the 1.2l TSI to be convincing in terms of performance, torque and torque curve despite the small displacement, the petrol direct injection engine is equipped with a turbocharger.
