The Volkswagen Tiguan->ke1817 will receive a number of minor powertrain upgrades beginning next month. For the upgraded versions, Volkswagen->ke94 is releasing a 2.0-liter TDI inline-four diesel engine with 110-horsepower that will be priced lower than the previous diesel variant. Similarly, a 121-horsepower 1.4-liter TSI will also be offered for those who prefer to use a gasoline engine instead of a diesel variant.

In addition to that, both types will also be given seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmissions and will also use Volkswagen's unique Bluemotion technology in an effort to curb fuel consumption and become more fuel-efficient. Lastly, Volkswagen will also be giving the crossover a new keyless access and push-button start/stop feature.

Wolfsburg, 07 May 2010 - The most successful SUV Germany changed with new technical highlights of the model year 2011: So the Volkswagen Tiguan in early June with 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the keyless locking and starting system "Keyless Access" and two new environmentally friendly engines available. He plans to expand its leading position in the market.
